Who we are
When financial hardship meets pet loss, grief can become overwhelming.
The 4S Legacy Inc exists so every family can honour and remember their beloved companion, no matter their circumstances. We help cover the cost of Private Pet Cremation and selected Memorial Keepsakes, including an urn, so families can treasure their furbaby's ashes and grieve without added pressure, if that is their final wish.

Approved funding is paid directly to our Respectful and Dignified Private Pet Cremation Provider, to ensure every donation directly supports the service it is intended for.
The story behind the name
Four dogs. Four souls. One legacy that lasts forever.
The 4S Legacy Inc was founded by Sophie Taiki in Victoria, in memory of Sargent and Slick, two of the four dogs who shaped her life. After saying goodbye to both within thirteen weeks, Sophie experienced the comfort of privately cremating Sargent and creating memorial keepsakes, but faced the heartbreak of being unable to honour Slick in the same way, at that time, after exhausting all of her savings in an effort to prolong Slick’s life with a tumour removal, only to lose him during the surgery.
Out of that pain came a promise: that no one who loves their companion should ever have to choose between financial hardship and a dignified goodbye. The charity carries the memory of Sargent and Slick, and the lifelong love Sophie still shares with Sahara and Solē.
It was created from unconditional love, deep loss, and the desire to help others during one of the hardest moments of their lives.

Our team reviews every application carefully and with care to confirm genuine financial hardship.

We coordinate the service
If approved, we arrange cremation and keepsakes directly with our Private Pet Cremation Provider.

We keep you updated throughout, so you can focus on grieving and remembering.
Who is eligible?
You may be eligible if your companion has recently passed away or is at the end of life, and you are experiencing genuine financial hardship, or you hold a valid concession or pension card. Every application is reviewed with compassion and care.

As a newly established charity, support is subject to available funds and assistance may be limited at times. Funds are never paid directly to applicants, they are paid directly to our Private Pet Cremation Provider.

We are currently only Echuca, Moama, Deniliquin and surrounding areas, but we will be reaching Australia wide in the very near future.
We are a registered not-for-profit charity run entirely by volunteers and funded solely by donations from the public. As a newly established charity, support is subject to available funds.
